"No words can describe the beauty and peacefulness of this property. The grounds are spectacular and our room was gorgeous overlooking the ocean and sunsets. Upon our arrival we were greeted with refreshing beverages and brought to our room where we saw Toucans and Parrots . In our two day visit we saw monkeys and frogs and lots of butterflies! "Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest...

"First off, the staff at this quaint lodge were hands down amazing. Enrique and Christina took care of all our food and beverage needs and then some! Silvia, the manager, handled all our other needs quickly and made us feel special! The cleaning crew made sure our room was like new every day! Christophe and Sebastian checked in with us daily to make sure everything was going smoothly for us.
