"We went in the bar for pre dinner drinks and tried to pay on the room and were informed this is not possible which was a shame and not usual for this type of hotel. Time for dinner was prebooked and we arrived and we’re shown to our table. Food was lovely but whole meal was spoilt at the end when my husband ordered a liquer coffee. "Very friendly staff on arrival and in all interactions. Public spaces looked nice. Room was clean and simple. Only gripe was the need to de-timescale the taps and shower head. The bathroom was spacious and modern and the stuttering and erratic spray caused by limescale blockages was out of place and could’ve made for a much more pleasant experience. Overall was good value for a single room, was visiting my daughter at uni and would happily stay there again when doing so. "
