"The remoteness is not in anyway a comment on the great hospitality experienced front the entire Mercure staff. This was my home away from home for almost 4weeks and I greatly enjoyed my stay. The room was a key reason for selecting; the hotel over a closer I is offering; very spacious with a huge wardrobe, big bathroom and walk in shower. The room also had a sink, cups (only recommendation is to include washing liquid) kettle, cutlery and a microwave, (however inline with the notices, probably not a good idea to use the. Microwave unless truly desperate) . The remoteness I referred to has a knock on impact that it's a long way to the nearest station plus you will need to factor in travel costs to and from the hotel. If you don't mi do the occasional walk like myself it's a nice 35 minute stroll in good sunshine. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my Mercure Hotel experience. "

"We stayed there over a local long weekend period, arriving late on the Friday night. No problems encountered, apart from a few ants inside our room. We advised reception and they sent someone to deal with it, offering us an alternative room, but we chose not to move. Being a public holiday on the Monday reception wasn't open until 10:00 am, but we made use of the afterhours key drop off facility. Would I use this facility again - Yes."
