"This beautiful historic hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain and Gibraltar. The staff service and hotel amenities were excellent. I can’t say enough about the room and view! I could see the cable cars head up to the top of the Rock from my room balcony. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others!"

"The studio apartment is modern with a well-appointed but small kitchenette (It would have been good to have had tea towels and a drainer) and a shower room. It has large windows overlooking the harbour and is just a few minutes walk from Main Street. There is a supermarket nearby and some cafes and restaurants. "Although we were aware that the hotel was closing we still expected 4 star accommodation as that is what we paid for. The pool and terrace area were in a very bad state of disrepair and the pool area unusable. We asked for an upgrade to a sea view as there road works at the front of the building and therefore noisy but were told ( 6 hrs after asking and having to ask again)that no rooms were available although the hotel was clearly far from busy.
