"Lovely as usual. Having stayed in an “enviable” room type before, it was noticeable this time having dropped to “comfortable”. Still high standards but a little tired in the bathroom, a small entrance (slightly awkward with bags) and less frills. Still lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay (and complimentary birthday treat). I would always opt for an enviable room when funds allow but all rooms are lovely. Thank you for a great stay! I will be back again soon "

"Lovely old character style hotel. Friendly staff in reception let my colleague and I have a few holes of golf before sunset with no charge. Well priced drinks and food. The lady serving in the bar was grumpy but that was the only negative. Would highly recommend "
