"Staff were so helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and they really tried to make things as easy as possible. Being at the older end we didn't enjoy the Halloween disco in the bar but it was possible to find a quieter space and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Drinks were quite expensive but the food was reasonably priced. The breakfast choice and quality was outstanding."

"We came here as a couple for a short break in September. The reception area very attractive and staff were lovely. Other areas a mixture of modern and oldy worldy but I love that and adds to the charm of the place. We absolutely loved our room. We had a superior double which was actually more like a suite. All staff were friendly and approachable, we had children with additional needs and accommodations were made in a professional and supportive manner without any issue. "A nice stay but a few things could’ve been improved. Food was lovely and staff were friendly. However they just don’t have enough staff so the service was really slow. The room wasn’t great for the money we paid either. It was overlooked a bit and next to the kitchen so outside was a bit scruffy. The toilet was broken too and my husband had to fix it. Parking was a bit of an issue too. When we arrived we couldn’t even get a space on the same road. Lovely location though as walkable...
