"The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours....

"Perfectly located close to the centre of town and a short walk from the tram connecting the city to the airport. The hotel has a very nice old world feel, and the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean, and the breakfast menu covered all tastes. "Booked a twin room the beds were a larger size than a single and very comfy. The gym and pool facilities were fantastic as well as being able to drop off our bags of early and get changed before we could access our room. The staff were so helpful and friendly and there was lots to choose from at breakfast. Will book here again when we come back."
