"The staff at the Boot and Shoe were lovely - they were friendly and helpful during our stay. The cooked breakfast was excellent. We had booked a table for dinner but unfortunately the table we’d been allocated wasn’t great so we dined elsewhere. The staff were really apologetic and gave us a complimentary round of drinks to make up for this. The room itself was fine. The bed was ok and the room was clean. "One of our go to places when up in Kendal for business. Clean & friendly and a good choice of things on the menu. Food is delicious! Only downfall we had was we booked a certain table for dinner one evening and one member of staff had moved us and was quite rude about it! Original table was empty the whole time we were in the restaurant! Wouldn’t have minded if she had been polite and explained why the move had been made!"

"This proved to be one of the superior B&Bs we have ever used. Apart from the comfort and cleanliness we discovered two small brownies and two KitKats on the tea tray. Breakfast was delicious - porridge, fresh fruit salad, any cereals, full breakfasts and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon . Very inexpensive."

"Lovely 3 night break with 3 kids, loads of room, lovely brunch in the hotel, the only downfall was the hot tub wasnt great, it was good but the jets didnt seem to be working properly and the lights didnt work. Apart from that, everything we could have hoped for, would defo recommend 👌"
