"Room was small but lovely and clean. The bed was comfy but the room was way too warm, you can’t control the thermostat. The en-suite was nice but only had a bath and was not made aware of this. The breakfast was so so, poached eggs were good apart from the bread was not toasted at all. The service was very quick and the staff weren’t very enthusiastic and didn’t really know the etiquette of whether you’d finished or not. "One of our go to places when up in Kendal for business. Clean & friendly and a good choice of things on the menu. Food is delicious! Only downfall we had was we booked a certain table for dinner one evening and one member of staff had moved us and was quite rude about it! Original table was empty the whole time we were in the restaurant! Wouldn’t have minded if she had been polite and explained why the move had been made!"

"Lovely little cottage, close to Penrith, keswick and ullswater so plenty of options for things to do. The cottage is ideal for the two of us and the pooch, and is our second time staying there and most likely will be returning next year. We even saw a red squirrel which was very nice, though it was too fast for a photograph. The bed is comfy and the shower is amazing after a long walk. It's pretty much got everything you need. Another great stay at Erikas cottage. "

"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"
