"Apart from the 5am fire alarm fault, and the fact that our dirty mugs weren’t changed for two days, we did have a lovely stay. The bar food was delicious, our room was spacious and very warm,the bed was extremely comfortable, the blackout curtains were very effective and there was a ready supply of hot water. Thank you."

"The staff was wonderful, the confusion in reaching/ returning to room due to construction very frustrating also, it would've been great to be oriented to how the power works, ex..the entire power grid to the room was turned off everyday after cleaning. Room would be fridged upon return.. Americans do not function in this manner. Power is aways present, no steps needed."

"The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours....
