"This was a great place. Of note, there is not much in town, and “town” is very small. There’s a grocery store that closes early, a gas station, and maybe 2-3 bars/restaurants, no other shops. But it was a good stopping place between the Thingvellir national park and the snaelfellsnes peninsula. The restaurant seemed like it could be good, it was cute; admittedly we didn’t have time to try it. "On the positive, this hotel seems quite new and is very clean. Customer service was not as good. Additionally, while they had hot tubs, you have to pay to use a robe and towel for the hot tubs. If I had to do again, I might have just drove and stayed in Borgarnes. We picked this hotel because it was closer to the lava cave and glacier tours we were taking the following day. "
