"We love this place, but we love it for a reason, the food is amazing, the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great visit/stay and the rooms are a perfect place to crash after a few drinks. The pub also has a lovely warm atmosphere that is so welcoming and relaxing. For us it’s our perfect bolt hole to escape London. "

We stayed in the stable courtyard area of the castle right opposite the restaurant and bar which was lovely for a chilled drink etc Room recently refurbed with walk in shower and tea making facilitys etc and extra bonus castle entrace is included in stay Stayed before and im sure we will again "

"we had a fantastic break at a reasonable price too. Lovely staff, very good breakfast, gorgeous, well equipped and comfortable room and beautiful decor throughout the inn. Dog welcome in rooms for a reasonable supplement (with extras provided for it too: bowl and welcome kit) and in the pub. Will come back! "

"Was a unique experience. No reception. No bar. No Dining Room. No on site parking. Communication was excellent with door code and security keys and mobile number in case of emergencies. The house was very welcoming with a Christmas tree and carols being played and as the house has a "no shoes" policy it would have been more convenient to have a dedicated area for changing footwear rather than the very tiny lobby area. "We were really impressed considering how affordable our room was. It wasn't in the prettiest building but it was very clean and comfortable with a lovely shower. The estate itself is stunning and the house lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was top notch with a huge selection of nice quality food. We stayed with a 2 yr old and a cot was smart up for us on request. Staff were kind and understanding. Really good all round. "
