"函館の湯の川温泉街にある老舗のホテルです。リニューアルされた複数の客室棟と2箇所の温泉浴場があり、個室も綺麗で旅情緒を感じられる素敵なホテルでした。 電停の側にあるので市内観光にも行きやすく、函館駅前に比べるとひっそりとはしていますが静かで落ち着くエリアです。歩いて少しした所に湯倉神社があり、この土地の歴史を感じられます。市電で五稜郭まで15分程度、函館駅前は25分くらいです。道路の混み具合に左右されるのが市電の趣ですね。 ビュッフェスタイルの朝ごはんも北海道の海鮮やミニ塩ラーメン、和洋中のさまざまな品揃えと数日滞在しても全てを賞味できないくらいの品揃え！朝から幸せになれます。 温泉は室内、露天と完備してあり、泉質が肌にとても良くて感動ものでした。他の湯の川の温泉に比べて湯温がやや低めなので入りやすかったです。洗い場には馬油のシャンプーやボディソープが設置してあり、北海道を感じました。 スタッフの皆さんも親切丁寧で、良かったです。帰りは空港までタクシーをお願いしましたが配車も迅速で便利でした。空港からはバスで約15分+徒歩10分くらい、ややかかりますが公共交通機関でも着けます。移動の選択肢が多いのは嬉しいですね。"

"Beautiful facility but challenged when full - the onsen hot springs on the 13th floor and the breakfast buffet do not have the capacity to adequately deal with a full hotel. In addition, the two dinner restaurants inside the hotel are both way overpriced for tiny little portions, and there is a dearth of restaurant options in walking distance. We stayed two nights during the Hakodate Marathon and all the nearby restaurants were booked full and many hotel guests were wandering around the neighborhood looking for anything. We grabbed our dinners from 7-11 and brought it back to the room."
