"Great hotel which allowed the dog. The walls by the window had marks from a previous water leak and there was no rubbish bin around hotel. I had a dog with me so ended up looking for a bin for ages, to dispose of the poop bag. Also smoke alarms are extremely sensitive. We were woken up at 5.45am by the fire alarm probably activated by someone having a shower."

Our room had clearly been used by someone who had a dog with them previously. The rooms could do with a paint in places and there were some huge cobwebs on the ceiling. "Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also. "
