"Fourth trip to Bali, second stay at Puri Bagus. Returned for many reasons. Candidasa is away from the crazy crowds. Beautiful setting. Staff is wonderful. Easy access to activities. My other stays have been at yoga lodges. While they were nice, they were isolated. To visit another restaurant required hiring a driver. At Puri Bagus it’s an easy walk to Candidasa where there are restaurants, shops, ATMs and other services. Grounds are well kept. Patios are a nice place to relax...

"It’s an older property now but still has a charm about it. The staff are wonderful. When I saw the earplugs in the room I had no idea what they’re for. It’s dogs … the place is crawling with them and they howl, bark and fight during the night. Do yourself a favour a stick the earplugs in before you go to sleep!! Amed beach could do everyone a favour and introduce compulsory desexing of the dogs. Would greatly improve it as a tourist destination "

"Staff were very freindly and at hand when needed. It was a nice quite location to begin our trip away from the chaos one has come to expect in Bali. The view from the room and dining room into the lush forest was very peacefully. Breakfast was good, however evening meals were very average. So much so, we decide to take the taxis in to ubud (about 30 minutes away) for dinner for the last 3 nights of our stay. "Siddhartha was a beautiful property and a nice place to stay. The resort staff was accommodating and attentive. The dive staff were professional and made us feel comfortable and safe on our dives. The resort has a niche catering to German speakers and the majority of those staying at the resort were German, Swiss or Austrian. It was an interesting, unexpected twist to the stay. "We had a wonderful stay at Villa Sasoon at the beginning of August. The staff are simply delightful - they can't do enough for you (without being imposing), and are just super friendly and lovely. They are always smiling! The Villa itself is just like the pictures - spacious, clean, and open. The outdoor area is spectacular - the sun loungers are very comfortable, it's nice to have the outdoor table to eat at, and the pool is the perfect temperature. "Pretty cool view and the bamboo house is really nice as you see in social media and on the site. However, there is a critical issue that made me check out earlier. The issue is there are a lot of flies during the morning period. It kills the whole experience. Am talking about hundreds of flies that will sit on you and your food. "
