On the negative side: location is very noisy (right beside a busy road), the staff are not welcoming and pay no attention to dietary requests and WiFi is poor. Would absolutely NOT recommend for the price."

"This is a unique place - right inside the water palace - but it is in need of some improvements. Our room (pool villa) smelled a little moldy and things seemed a bit dated. We paid extra for the "free breakfast" option but had a very aggressive server at the restaurant insist that we had to pay. This dispute was eventually settled by management but it was a strange experience and quite uncomfortable. "My wife and I just returned from a trip to Bali for our 25th anniversary. This was our second hotel out of 3 which we stayed at during our week there as we traveled around the island. We both had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend this homestay to any others coming to Bali.
