"Same day booking for night away from home. Overall ok, no frills accommodation. £5 for parking. Efficient check in. Clean small basic room, clean but small bathroom. Nothing fancy but ok for overnight stay. Bar menu very minimal thefore chose to eat elsewhere. Drinks in the bar later again ok prices and service ok. "Only stayed one night, but really enjoyed stay. We arrived early in the morning and although we could not book in till 3 we were allowed to park in the car park. Although parking costs £10 it was worth it as we didn’t have to pay or find parking elsewhere when we spent the day in the town. Easy to walk into town. Hotel is really nice, lovely old building. Spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t know what the bad reviews are about. Don’t let them put you off. "
