The hotel is a little tired in places but the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Disappointed that the swimming pool was closed during our stay but it didn't affect our overall experience. Food in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was also really good with lots to choose from. Would recommend "

"Overall a good stay - The night porter( manager) was excellent. Comfy bed.. Dissapointed by the breakfast - Cold plates! Hot food not that hot and scrambled eggs had gone green as left for too long. Coffee on side not individual pots, cold even when new lot made and cups too small, so kept having to get up for refill."

"This is our forth stay at the Stones, nice hotel, staff are very friendly, bar area is comfortable. I do wonder why when most people share a room they only put one chair in them ? Also a few polite notices in the hall ways to remind other guests to be quiet when walking past the rooms ? That said we would recommend this hotel."
