"If skiing Black Mountain, it’s ideal. The main building is attached to the parking lot for Black Mountain and the shovel handle pub; we were hoping to park, ski, eat dinner, and go to the room w/o having to drive anywhere. Unfortunately, the pub closed for a private event but we went to Tuckerman’s restaurant which was about 15 mins away and had a great meal. The main building appears historic; probably 17-1800’s. "We stayed in the detached loft building. It was clean and just what we needed. Our two double bed room was pretty small. Bathroom was also small. about the only complaint was with the hvac setup. It wasn’t really all that clear which baseboard electric units for heat were supposed to actually work. There’s a thermostat on the wall, but only the one by the door was functional; two were cold.
