"We went to see the volcano, but it was closed. The staff were very nice and friendly, including offering alternative places to visit. The grounds were well kept and the views were grand. The rooms were nice and reasonably comfortable. One issue, which for some may be positive or negative is the rooster and mule making a racket at 4:00 in the morning. The hot/cold water was so finicky thst you ran the risk of being frozen or scalded. The breakfast was mediocre and the coffee was the worst...

"This property was very nice. The cabins are somewhat rustic. The cabin had a wood burning fireplace. It was somewhat drafty but definitely an experience. The staff was very hard working and did a wonderful job cleaning and with the grounds. "

"Bare bones, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was bottled water in the room and a hot shower (which in Costa Rica is not always a given). I was pleased, too, that they did come pick me up at the airport even though my plane arrived after stated shuttle hours. "

"This resort is amazing and I wish I was back there now. We only stayed here 2 nights of our 8 night stay in Costa Rica, but it was our favorite. We have a family of 4 and we stayed in a deluxe treehouse which fit us nicely. The grounds are beautiful and walkable and the staff is friendly. We were able to see multiple sloths and plenty of other wildlife. "We stayed here for one night, and it was lovely. Supper and breakfast were great, and soaking in the jacuzzi while listening to all the birds, cicadas and other animals was very relaxing. The view from the back deck and hammock was incredible when the clouds went away! It was great to relax with a book. There were a few decent spiders we had to kill, but otherwise this place is amazing! Maria helped us sign up for the ATV tour next door, which was a fun excursion to do - especially playing/swimming in the river! Any tourists from away, make sure to wear thin long sleeves, and lots of sunscreen!"
