"Everything about the Lion hotel was good clean rooms food was very good pizzas amazing great value for money "

"The hotel is affordable and very close to the city centre. Room had a hairdryer built in, very comfy bed sheet plenty of choices for seating in the room. TV was a lil small for viewing from the bed and the toilet paper wasn't the greatest, also wish there was an alternative option to a bar of soap? But these are small complaints, this is a fantastic hotel"

"We stayed one night so I could be at the hospital for an op at 7.00am. When checking in Alison on reception was really kind, telling my husband he could go back to the hotel and use their facilities even after check out. She even loaned us her own usb plug overnight so we could charge our devices. We have known the hotel for years, my husband went to King Edward’s school across the road, and I used to stay on business in the 1980’s and 90’s. We also held my husband’s 60th birthday party there...

"This is a good place to stay. It is close to the motorway and also a Harvester restaurant next door. We just found it a little noisy when housekeeping had the laundry delivered at 7am."
