"Really great hotel - excellent location about 10 min walk to city centre "

"The hotel itself was very inviting & all the staff seemed very happy in their work. We received a friendly welcome on arrival. The room was large well decorated & very clean. We would normally have a kingsize bed, but a double was fine & it was quite comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, We arrived at 9am & no hash browns available and the bacon was so hard it was inedible also no mushrooms, I decided to have beans on toast...however we would probably stay again!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected as we thought it would only be cereals but there were hash browns, beans etc. Parking was an additional £10 to be paid at the reception counter."

"I love staying here. The view from the lodge is great and staff are wonderful. My only issue this visit was the lack of light in the car park. We arrived in the dark and couldn’t really see to get luggage out of the car and needed to use a torch to get to our room, which was in an lodge (by choice) and not part of the main building. Other than that it was great!"

"Lovely property--beautiful, traditional, clean throughout. Our room (Daphne) was perfect for our twelve-day stay. While we didn't take every meal there, we had many dinners and breakfasts and each was wonderful. Fresh, locally sourced (their own estate), and deliciously prepared. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!"
