"Had a lovely stay in a superior room. Every thing was very clean, in the room and the hotel bar/lounge. The room it's self was huge, we had a jacuzzi bath and a four poster bed. The bed was lovely and comfortable. All the staff were very attentive and chatty. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to give this hotel a go. The rooms are exceptional value compared to others in the area of the same price."

"My colleagues who stayed there were appalled at the state of this place . The room was filthy and look at the state of the shower screen - covered in Algae . The pictures on Hotels.com look good but probably taken about 10 years ago when the place was last cleaned . The boys were given another room but it was just as bad so they checked out without staying there at all. "

"Excellent, hotel was lovely and very easy to find, close to the shops/ town centre. The hotel was gorgeous and worth paying extra for ! The staff were very lovely and helpful, it was a really pleasant stay. Super easy check in and out also! The only negative was that in our room, we only had shampoo and conditioner, there was a stunning bath but no bubble bath or soap to actually enjoy it. This was a very minor negative over our whole experience though, we will definitely be returning! "

"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "Great location and lovely decor throughout. Room was big and well set out. Bed very comfy. Little things throughout the stay let us down given how much it was to stay there. Generally slow service both in the restaurant and hotel staff. Check in wasn’t great. Told we should have booked direct so we wouldn’t have had to pay for breakfast. Not what you want to hear on arrival. No offer of help with bags. Not bottle opener in room then took about 30mins to get one and felt like we were putting them...

"The weekend was a Christmas present for my daughter. The facilities in the Spa and treatments available are great and all the staff were lovely, throughout the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant is quite expensive but the food is excellent. I would thoroughly recommend it all."
