"Monterey Marriott is a very nice hotel. It was clean, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. But the price is a little bit higher than I expected in comparison to the total package. Plus the $39.00 parking fee per vehicle on top of the cost of the room. Now maybe I am wrong, but I don’t recall seeing a parking fee in the description on Expedia. If I missed it, my apologies. The other item that disturbed me is the pillows. These pillows were small and very thin. Even stacking two...

"Lovely atmosphere and so relaxing. I would stay there all of the time if I went to Monterey. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was super nice. The only thing that was not great was breakfast. "

Hotel Carmel is beautifully decorated, all of the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the afternoon cheese, cookies and wine! The morning breakfast is light but filling and fresh! We could see the ocean from our hotel door. We would definitely stay there again! "
