"Hotel was in good clean condition, staff were nice and the included breakfast was good! The road in front of this hotel is a nightmare with traffic so plan to add at least 20 mins on to the trip anywhere. The room we had was situated right by the check out desk .Since there are no elevators, starting at about 5am I could hear people dragging suitcases down the stairs, talking loudly, and kids screaming. I am a deep sleeper living in Manhattan and this was still extremely irritating woke me up...

"We got room 6 which has the Wood burning fireplace and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was good at the lodge but would not recommend lunch or dinner. There are plenty of local authentic restaurants at short walking distance that would be better choice. The area around the lodge is very peaceful scenic and serene. We enjoyed our stay"

"Great hotel for a night before flight. Staff was very nice and breakfast very good. Parking is behind gate so safe too. And the room was big with balcony. The area around is a bit loud at night with cars but everything else was great. Highly recommend "

The staff is polite and attentive, the rooms are incredibly designed to provide a cultural feel with eco sensitivities, and the best part is that the property has about 2-3 hours of hiking available on the grounds Will come back next time I'm flying through SJO"

"This place has a private gate that once you drive through, you enter into a quaint setting with beautiful flowering trees! I was completely surprised because the drive to the area was on busy streets. I thought there would only be unsafe street parking, but there was ample parking behind the gate. The pool was nice, the staff was very friendly, and dinner was good. The bathroom was spacious and the lighting was good. Beds were comfortable. I would feel safe having this as home base while...
