"Brilliant location 10 min walk to pier pubs shops restaurants on the way down , check in easy and quick staff very friendly we only had the basic double which would have been fine for one night as it was basically an ensuite bedroom nowhere to unpack or hang clothes still great value for money but nxt time will upgrade to larger room if staying more than one night "

"Great hotel and although not spanking new it has the most fabulous location on banks of Derwentwater and is super dog friendly, Keswick town just a 20min walk away. Fresh decor in bedroom and super comfortable bed.Lovely staff especially Sue, breakfast and bar meals were good. Beautiful sprawling gardens were the perfect spot to enjoy a drink in the evening sunshine.We can’t wait to return! "

"great place, lovely staff, great bar and restaurant , lovely rooms however my room number 3 was really small and way too hot , there was a fan but made no difference i would stay there again but not that room i would request larger cooler room, also i was woken early to banging outside as room faced on to the yard and the noise of next door room banging about in wardrobe"

"The hotel is in such a stunning area and the views are spectacular. The hotel room was very clean and had everything needed for a basic stay. It does need some modernisation (no USB sockets) and the pillows were very hard. I cannot fault the staff and especially Diane at breakfast who was so attentive and polite even though she was continuously in the go. The breakfast selection was excellent. We also had dinner one evening and the pie of the day was delicious. We found the experience very good...

"Wonderful view. Excellent base for exploring the Lake District. Small car park, be warned on weekends it can be tight, especially if you have a large car and the hotel is full. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside - our room could have done with a new shower hose. "

"We loved our stay here. Such a beautiful place. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the restaurant was. Sticky pudding was the best we've had in the UK. Fish and Chips were amazing. Such a wonderful area. Highly recommend this place. We will be back. "
