"The hotel is very old but well maintained. I was in the music room which is very small there was a mildewy smell and when I turned the air conditioner on it was worse also beware.. the bathroom is teeny tiny and the toilet in super low! The staff are great and definitely made up for short comings of room.. probably won’t stay here again.. but it was an experience!"

"There was only two people on staff between front desk, bar, and kitchen but they were incredibly kind and helpful despite being very busy. Room was clean and comfortable. Indoor pool and hot tub was very nice. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table. They have deep dish pizzas made to order in the bar area. My son did find hair in the dough of his pizza. Breakfast area was clean and comfortable, pretty basic options with no hot food available. "

We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. We enjoyed walking around by the river. There are so many little things that they've added to make your stay more fun. Lots of things to do nearby. "We were on the third floor, and there is no elevator, so it took a while to get our stuff upstairs. I have some hip and balance problems, so it was difficult to get into the shower (a raised tub with no handrails). Also, the shower did not have a place to put the soap or shampoo or conditioner provided, so I took advantage of my wife to be the "soap dish"."

"The location was great for getting to all the areas we love in NW michigan and the resort property itself is AMAZING as always - but the condo is dated, should offer more linens for the stay due to the fact that there is no washing/drying machine available. Just didn't get a good "clean at home" kind of feeling - the vent when you enter good use a good wipe down. It's the first thing you see! "

"The property owner was amazing. She sent a list of restaurants and things to do in the area ahead if time. Checked in on our first day to make sure we had everything we needed.
