We had a great midweek stay and the house is very nice and sits on a bluff with an amazing view. We took wedding photos here and loved it. Thanks Red Cottage!
Our family made some amazing memories and couldn't get enough of the Lake Michigan view!!! Great layout, deck, sun room, and fire pit that we used. Location to downtown and several different beautiful sandy beaches was great.
We had a great two-day retreat here with my research lab. The views of Lake Michigan were stunning, the beach was fun, and we were able to put the kitchen to good use. We had a blast!
We enjoyed our stay. We had a nice weekend with all our kids and grandkids together under one roof. Making food, playing games, sitting in the hot tub and staying warm by the fire. Making memories. We would love to comeback. a again.
The property was exactly as described and the view was breathtaking. It was a great weekend with friends. Plenty of space in the house for everyone and a beautiful place to watch the sunset and enjoy a fire. Would love to go again!
We had an awesome time! Our hosts were very communicative before and during our stay. The cottage had everything our group needed. The view was wonderful and we all loved the hot tub. We recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
We had a wonderful stay at Stacy's home. The house was perfect for our vacation with friends! It was very close to a few beaches and Manistee too. We loved watching the sunset and stars from their yard every night.
This was an older property but the view was great..we had some mold in the upstairs bath and was taken of same day…need air conditioning in the basement. Manistee was close so this was a convenient location.
The views of Lake Michigan are amazing all day, every day. We loved all the space--living, bedrooms, kitchen. We had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. The owners were amazingly fast in their responses in the booking process. We hope to vacation here again. We took in the West Home Walking Tour in Manistee which was enjoyable. Enjoyed nearby Magoon Beach as well.
We rented this property for two nights as a base for golfing at Manistee and Arcadia and it was wonderful The view was awesome and the house was great ! The house is clean and everything worked great! Thank you so much for being a part of making our annual northern golf trek fun and non-stressful
Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
We worked remote for a week. Peaceful area to get away. WiFi worked great for two people working remotely on laptops. Although our cellphone calls would drop often. Great place to stay but make sure you bring some paper towel and detergent if you’re planning on doing Landry.
What a wonderful place. The wonderful steps down to the shore were amazing. The host was quick to respond. Lake Michigan showed us many of it's personalities. Love it. Would love to go back.

Beautiful Bluff View
The view of Lake Michigan from the property was absolutely beautiful. It does sit high on a bluff with many steps down to the beach but
well worth the trek down. Beautiful stones and driftwood. Not much of a swimming beach. The firepit area was a fantastic place to watch the sunsets and we had the opportunity to watch the Northern Lights overMiMichigan.MichiganMichigan. .tand ha
This is a lovely location. The cottage was spotless, well-appointed and vacationer friendly. Plenty of hooks, plugs and towels. Yes, the climb down to the beach is a challenge, but we all managed. There are also beautiful public beaches nearby. Sitting on the patio, in the sunroom or the living room, the views are spectacular. The fire pit area is a bonus, with wood and kindling ready to go. My whole family (ages 9 through 77) had a great time.
The view from this cottage is breathtaking with awesome sunsets every night. The stairs to beach are steep, but sturdy and everyone in our group went up and down. We especially enjoyed the sunroom and fire-pit. One complaint is that I reached out with questions once before my stay and once during and I never heard back form the host. An additional suggestion would be to add more decent sized coffee mugs and some larger pots, pans and serving bowls to accommodate group meals.
This is a lovely house with a fantastic view. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the house had everything we needed.
Some things to note: none of the bedrooms have bathrooms in them, and this probably probably wouldn’t be good for those with small children. The cliff overlooking the lake is very steep and very high.
We had a great time and would definitely recommend!
The property was as expected. The new steps are great and the thin slice of beach is wonderful. Of course, the sunsets were the best part of the stay. The home was well cleaned and the hosts were great- very quick to respond to questions. Manistee is a cute town. The only negative of the whole place was that the basement is a bit musty- and could use a dehumidifier. It didn't bother my son- he was happy to have his own room with a bathroom.
