"Convenient location off the motorway near Kendal, less east of travelling north. Wasn’t clear if there was specific parking and couldn’t park close to doors so difficult with luggage. "We chose this hotel as we wanted a quiet night away not too far from home and away from the busy tourist areas and it didn’t disappoint. It’s hard to judge a place on a quiet weeknight in November but we had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. "Lovely hotel and lovely friendly owners who even greeted us on arrival . Lovely location however felt the place itself was a bit tired looking …. No nice toiletries and all the coffee sachets had sugar in . We couldn’t see the stunning view due to excess condensation to the inside of the window. There was no bath plug either . "

"Room was small but lovely and clean. The bed was comfy but the room was way too warm, you can’t control the thermostat. The en-suite was nice but only had a bath and was not made aware of this. The breakfast was so so, poached eggs were good apart from the bread was not toasted at all. "The staff were great. Really made my stay better. Last minute booking to avoid camping in the torrential weather and the girls working were very helpful with everything. Had an awesome night sleep. Reasonably priced for the comfort provided and breakfast was great! Would stay again. "
