"Being on the ground floor, the room above had very creaky floorboards and was very noisy, had to put toilet paper in my ears so i could sleep. Have stayed here several times but always been on an upper floor. Will bring earplugs next time incase"

"We enjoyed a two night stay in this lovely hotel. However, I was angered by the fact that we initially took out the insurance policy that was advertised on the Hotels.com booking page, at the time of booking and then instantly, afterwards, we cancelled the insurance policy, as it wasn’t needed, only to find that we had still been charged by the insurance company Xcover.com, when my credit card bill arrived!! Shame on xcover.com!!"

"The food in the hotel restaurant was poor and very poor value for money. The wine was extremely expensive. Other than the restaurant food, the hotel was good. I wouldn’t eat in the hotel again. Incidentally the breakfast was very good! The parking was expensive and we should have been informed during the booking process that parking was not free"

"Just returned from our one night stay and overall it was a pleasant stay. Room was spacious, bathroom good size. Just felt like it could have some TLC as the wooden Furniture was scraped a lot. But it was clean and slept well. Duvet quite thin but there’s a rug in cupboard that I used and it was lovely and warm. Breakfast was fantastic - very well organised! I loved that you sort the toast. Parking is free and was the reason we booked hotel. If we’re in Southampton again will return. "

"The hotel was value for money, bathroom clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. Would recommend it for people on a budget. "

"Lovely stay in Dorset Suite with 4 poster bed. Big and comfortable, but floor dips and is very creaky. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was great but bathroom a bit worn. Breakfast great and hotel receptionist was lovely. Just be aware that music may go on until 4am. "
