"Stayed for 2 nights with my wife. In a comfy room which had been refurbished. The room was compact but unless you were planning to spend a whole day in the room, it was perfect for sleeping and getting ready for the day. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who showed us to our room and explained the facilities and was really friendly along with the other staff throughout our stay. "Bar and rooms were clean. Lady who checked us in at the bar was friendly and gave the information required about codes/keys. Our room was direct above the bar and looked over the smoking entrance so was loud until closing. Overall a great, comfortable stay. Loved the nespresso machine in the room and the decor was beautiful! Thanks "

"Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location overlooking Hope park. The room was immaculate, the bed was great, bathroom spotless and the views have to be some of the best in Keswick. ALL the staff were very helpful and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was also fantastic with everything local and fresh. All in all a fantastic place to stay, thank you."

"Fantastic location, convenient base for short Ullswater stay. Staff mostly great and welcoming, rooms very clean, corridors and paintwork showing wear and many scuffs. Room tea coffee facilities excellent, evening meal was very average and probably over priced. Breakfast, service and overall environment lovely and excellent service. Set us up well for the day and one of the nicest breakfasts I've had. Would definitely consider a return stay when in Ullswater. "
