"Wonderful country Inn that welcomes dogs. Real fire and in a gorgeous setting. Evening meal was great and staff very helpful. At breakfast it was ‘do it yourself’ and the coffee machine was not working. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"Fantastic overnight stay in the Bollinger room - with the most comfortable bed imaginable. We ate in the pub in the evening and got talking to the owner about Huddersfield pigeons and their (lack of) merits. Food brilliant - we chose a chicken and a lamb dish. Beautiful. Mediterranean cheesecake - pesto jus with olives and roasted tomatoesit it was not. Turns out it was Dark Fruit Berries !!! Super flavour. And sticky toffee pudding to die for ! Lovely breakfast in the morning. Plenty...

"It's a little bit tired but clean and tidy, close to a couple of pubs in the village and there is a good choice of options at breakfast. I thought it was very good value for money and would come again."

"This is our second stay at the Fox and Hounds. The staff are very welcoming. The food is excellent, with an extensive choice available. The room was clean, and well presented. There was a good supply of tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water, plus shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Very dog friendly too! "

"We had a clean cosy room with a comfortable bed and pillows with Coffee, Tea and biscuits on a Tray in the room. The hotel is on farmland, the room was very quiet at night with an owl hooting early morning. The breakfasts were very good with cereals, juices, yoghurts and pastries to choose from, followed by a good cooked English breakfast. Becky was very helpful and made all guests feel welcome. Friendly family pets are often in the Bar. "
