"Had a lovely stay and all staff were amazing. Was a misunderstanding thinking we had smoked in the room but was easily sorted once they realised stumps on the scaffolding were from the buildings outside. Is greatly positioned to see all around "

"Surrounding area is perfect and great natural spot. Room was clean but few odd bits which could have been better. Walls were thin but other than that great place, and breakfast. "

"Although it is an older hotel, it still has grandeur and heritage. Ok it is dated and could do with a significant investment but this would probably be at the expense of the atmosphere. We both enjoyed it and the quirks like the creaky floorboards added to the experience and charm. A nice safe hotel that gives you a cuddle. "

"The staff is excellent. The food is delicious. The bathroom is tiny, though, and the housekeeping doesn't do anything besides replacing the towels during your stay. And there are a LOT of stairs. If you have a disability or heavy luggage, it's very difficult to manage. The room itself is gorgeous and you can't beat that view "
