We had dinner at Carriages next door and this was very good quality. Lots of parking around the hotel. An excellent gym with good quality, new equipment. Overall an excellent stay even though we only stayed one night en route to the South West"

"A little gem of a place, booked two rooms and they were both unique. There is some minor maintenance going on but it does not effect anything. Staff are super friendly and go above and beyond to help or answer any questions. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the main city centre where there is everything you could possibly need. Will definitely go back as soon as possible!"

"This was an overnight stay. It was easy to find and there was a convenient car park. Our host answered the door immediately and showed us up the room. It is a very old building with beams and sloping floors and has lots of character. The room was comfortable and warm. We had our evening meal in a pub called The Canon Inn in the village which was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Thanks for a lovely stay"
