The Turks Head is a lovely place to stay - it's very clean and comfortable and the staff really friendly, welcoming and polite. However, there is noise from from the pub and this could be unsettling for some guests.

Central right in the middle of everything so perfect for getting everywhere in central Exeter. It is an odd coaching inn so stairs. Room was very well equipped with everything you need. We were in the snug and hey guys what it was snug, me and my hubby who are cuddly foils the need a little small for us. We booked it so just a note not a complaint. The lady who checked us in was amazing.

Hotel in a micro brewery.😀 Had dinner elsewhere, so didnt try the beer, but it smelled good. Comfortable and quirky. Noisy until 11pm, but that was no problem to us. Good situation, but no parking. Fun place; would certainly stay there again.

Awesome hotel
Absolutely lovely hotel .. smack in the center of Exeter. Lovely boutique feel. Very quiet, quirky and private. The best shower I have ever experienced! lol Would highly recommend.. I don't usually do reviews .. but this hotel is definitely worth the mention

We had a great stay at the Turks Head, room was small but well appointed with a good shower room. Location was great as we travelled by train and it is right in the centre of the city, close to all attractions.

Don’t do it
While the concept of having rental rooms above a pub is charming in theory, I can assure you, it’s less romantic in reality. The room we rented was very tiny, not the cleanest, and musty. It was equipped enough to dwell for the night but the mattress felt very old and it squeaked at any slight movement. Also, the noise from the pub activity was incredibly loud (hence the ear plugs provided) and once that subsided, our lovely “neighbours” in the room next to us blasted music and babbled drunkenly at the wee hours of the morning until we could no longer ignore it and had to bang on the wall. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend staying here.

Fun little hotel with high standard
Fun little hotel with high standard. The room was big with a nice and clean bathroom. Stairways are very narrow but that adds to the charm of the old building. There is a pub in the same building but no noise from that in the room. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there is pleny of nice breakfast places around. Highly recommended!

Have been here several times over the years for food and drink but this was the first time we stayed. Small rooms but comfortable and have everything you need. Staff exceptional. It’s a city pub so expect noise, unless you have a couple of the really nice ales before you go to bed.
