"I stayed here as I was running a training session the next day at this venue. The hotel is quite old and the decor reflects this. I was in room 302 which was pleasant. Ensuite was good, large shower. Room had a desk, as well as a occasional table with 2 chairs. TV in room was okay but channel guide button on control did not work."

"On the whole, a nice hotel. Fantastic staff, always helpful. There were a few issues that let the hotel down. Carpet on ground floor corridor to rooms was loose and tended to bunch up. This would be a trip hazard to those not steady on their feet. The carpet in our room (63) was stained in a number of places, and was looking tired. I had booked an alternative on the High Street, but cancelled and plumped instead for North Hill Hotel having read their review. I didn't eat there, but you'd be hard pushed for a better venue for the price. When I stay there again I'll be trying the bar out! Thanks for a wonderful two night stay. "

"Nervous to visit after reading reviews. However, there is a lot of refurbishment going on. The downstairs looks fabulous and the car park/outside space is being worked on. The room was ropey, window held open with a block of wood and a pane of glass missing. Curtains not hanging correctly and a socket out. But, we arrived when they were busy and so checking in was delayed. The staff apologised for wait, and the room! The breakfast was absolutely banging and the staff were exceptional. Helpful...
