"Hotel Fransiskus is comparatively a very affordable.option for staying in Stykkisholmer. It's conveniently located to food, the harbor, and great for walking around the town. The rooms had everything we needed, the beds were super comfortable, the staff went out of their way to help us get where we were going, and the breakfast was plentiful. If we get back that way, we will certainly stay there again!"

"This is a beautiful getaway hotel removed from everything else — tucked away in a remote little piece of Iceland where you can wake up to birds singing and the sound of crashing water. Everything has clearly been recently renovated: the beautiful rainfall showers, huge LED-lit mirrors, comfortable beds, balconies, bar and lounge areas, etc. The staff are wonderful, too — as is the breakfast. Down side is that this is remote indeed, so your only walkable eating option is their restaurant — and...

"Nous avions une chambre pour 3 avec 3 lits séparés. Comme souvent dans les salles de bain on ne sait pas comment accrocher les serviettes pour tout le monde et autres affaires. La salle de bain en question était grande. Petit déjeuner inclus très bien avec du choix et le repas du soir pris au restaurant était correct. "

"Beautiful studio apartment in a gorgeous setting with views of fields and horses behind us. The location was somewhat remote, but it was extremely well appointed to make your own meals in the kitchen. There were a small number of options for restaurants or cafes a short distance away. "

"A wonderful place to stay. It was really a mini-cabin, with a kitchenette and a couch, plus a long bench on which to lay suitcases and stuff. Very clean and very well thought-out, with a Scando interior. Bath was ultra-modern. Quiet, bright, and with big windows and nice lighting. Best of all, we got to see the Northern Lights! Would definitely stay agaibn"

"Life on a horse farm, with beautiful Icelandic show horses, was terrific. Fully appointed kitchen and outdoor grill meant we could cook up a storm and grill some tender lamb for dinner. The owners were welcoming and the horses were gentle and beautiful. Location was perfect for the Gerduberg basalt cliffs and the gorgeous coastal hike from Arnastapi to Hellnar on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Four adults were comfortable sharing the cottage."

"My wife and I loved the apartment. The hallways in the building have a very strong smell of cigarette smoke, but inside the apartment is very clean and comfortable. Parking wasn't as convenient as I would have liked, but we got lucky and eventually got a parking spot right next to the building. "
