"Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline was very pleasant, room was adequate & clean, staff very pleasant, breakfast options were plenty and tasty. The hotel is on the bus routes to and from Dunfermline with a stop just outside the hotel on main road. The only thing about our stay which stopped us drinking or dining at the hotel was the amount of dogs in the main lounge area, one of our party has a serious medical reaction to animal hair which defines our choices in these matters."

(I did request quiet room away from traffic but didn’t anticipate being disturbed by other noises). "Stayed here 50 years ago with family …. property has not modernised. Plug sockets lacking in bedrooms, nowhere to plug in kettle, beds hard, no overhead lighting in bedrooms and lighting out on stairs. Staff were attentive, food great and lounge area comfortable."

"The room was a little bit Smokey but other than that it was quiet and we were at the end of the hall but there was a big party for a football team while we were there that took up most of the hotel. I'm sure it's awesome when there's not a bunch of football fans there."
