"Our family spent one night at this traditional Ryokan during our time in Kyoto. The service was impeccable, from the moment the shuttle bus picked us up at the train station and throughout our stay. A designated staff member greeted us, offered us tea, and then went over the amenities of the property with us. We reserved the private onsen so we could enjoy it as a family (regular communal onsen is not coed). The onsen is a natural outdoor hot spring with medicinal benefits! Dinner and breakfast...

"During our 2 week stay so far in Japan, this has been one of our favorites. It is so convenient to the train and bus stops. The staff was wonderful even giving me towels so I could use their foot bath after we had checked out but needing to kill 2 hours before it was time for our train back to Kyoto. We would definitely stay there again. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel personnel was more than helpful. We had a minor medical situation and they went out of their way to help us find medical attention. This was more complicated because many clinics were closed due to a holiday but they made many phone calls and found a solution for us. We are very grateful for their diligence. The hotel itself is very new and the decor is quite modern. Everything was clean and in perfect condition."

"Rooms were larger than normal for Japan. Right next to the train station. Drug Store open late next door. Large shopping mall across the street with a supermarket open 10a to 8p. For the breakfast , dont get there at the stop time as everything is put away. Very few selections and all things that were supposed to be hot were cold. Very low rating for breakfast."
