"Great place if you want to stay a few minutes further away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. This hotel was pet friendly and conveniently located to restaurants and several open spaces to walk, sight see, take your doggy etc. The rooms are not ultra fancy or modern, but the rooms are nice and clean, the balcony in room 336 had a spectacular view of the lake and created a very nice space to drink my morning coffee while watching the snow fall all over the lake. "We wanted to check out Neveda but was also interested in spending a day or two at South Lake Tahoe so we choose this. It was a nice easy drive ( as long as no snowing conditions ) the first day but it was quite scary when there was heavy snow the second day especially at night. We had an AWD Tesla Y with snow tires so it was okay. Added bonus was their EV charging so I didn't have to go out and charge our car. Thanks for having EV charger Carson Valley Inn. "

"Good: Location is good. Inside the village. Close to the lifts. Staffs are responsive and very helpful. Not so good: Property is old. Just in general feels outdated. We booked a studio. They use gas stoves inside the studio. Mattress is not firm enough. There is basically no night life at all in the resort. All shops are closed, which was surprising to us. Otherwise, it is quiet and good for watching stars."
