"Excellent location with parking. The hotel was clean and the service friendly. The decor was very old fashioned and dated but sound enough, some light coloured paint would make the building a bit more cheery and bright."

"Perfect little private get away pretty much in the middle of town. Small premium over other rooms available at Latimer house which have you added privacy and plenty of room for two to enjoy 3 nights away. "

"Staff on reception really nice and helpful. A lovely room. Bed very comfortable, had a good nights sleep. Loved that we had a range of hot drinks with options that included oats milk for lactose intolerant and bottled water. There was a lovely hot shower. The only downside was the noisy toilet in the bathroom but apart from that, we had a nice stay. Would stay again."

"Room was nice but small . Breakfast staff friendly. Considering it was double would.not expect bathroom to.have a small.cloakroom size sink with no where to put anything and shower cubicle not spacious . Bed comfy. Felt we got short straw on room . Bar feels odd having to register for a table to sit inside and felt conducive to a warm welcome. Chose not to eat in pub "

"Great location in centre of kendal whilst we attended brewery Arts barely a minute walk away. Room was clean and the breakfast was included in the price and was tasty. Though the gap to get past the end of the bed was small, the bed was super king size and comfortable. Despite being in centre of town we were tucked away from any noise from the street. Shower tray filled quickly during our showers so perhaps drain blockage and the tray felt very springy underfoot, perhaps time to replace....

"I have family in Scotland and travel there 2 or 3 times a year. My partner and i normally do it in one hit. 10 hours including stops. Decided to break the journey and spend a night in Tebay. What a great decision, Apart from breaking up the journey. We received a warm welcome, lovely spacious room. Had a frw relaxing drinks in the bar serving locally sourced beer and gins. Had a really nice dinner followed by a night cap and a great nights sleep. Brekkie was very nice also. Staff were excellent,...

"Troutbeck Inn is a gem of a place. The owners are lovely and we had a good laugh with them. The food is second to none and is locally sourced and cooked fresh. We stayed for 2 nights in September whilst walking around the Ullswater area and the location is superb. Right by a main road for good access but without an intrusive noise from the road. I'm sure we will be staying here again if we plan more walks in future."
