"Hotel looks a little shabby on the outside, but is in reasonably good condition internally. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently positioned for city (about a 35min walk) free parking at hotel. Buffet breakfast with wide choices. The room was on the small side and we could hear other guests. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. All facilities in room worked well and were clean. "

"Brilliant location stones throw from minster. Staff were extrememy friendly and accommoding with parking arrangements. Room was a brilliant size (we had 3 adults sharing 2 single beds and a sofa bed). Not at all cramped. All decoration and bathroom lovely and clean. "I’m not a fan of self service checkin/out but that’s just how things are going. The room met my needs, the breakfast options were great even managing to order a fried slice of bread as a holiday treat. Would have preferred that the bites menu was continued into the evening service as sometimes it is just too late for a full sit down menu. It was a shame that the pool table was a victim of the refurb and although there was a rather magnificent piano in that general location, it was never...
