Walm welcome from the owners. My small single room was at the very top and my case was carried up for me and down at the end of the stay. A kitchen was available to make drinks and warm up food. That was good. The room was very small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The property was well positioned with easy access to York centre. I enjoyed my stay.

We had a great stay at the Crescent Guest House. Location is excellent if you’re coming to York by train and want to explore multiple attractions. The staff were always extremely friendly and courteous. Although the building is a bit run down it served its purpose which was a place to stay while we explored York.

Fantastic hosts, went the extra mile to accommodate a special birthday. Breakfast was delicious & the 2 ladies who cook breakfast are also very helpful & very warm and welcoming. Great location & the host is helpful on locations to visit. Really enjoyed this place.

Mus who received us is very friendly. He recommended some famous places for us to eat and to go to. The kitchen staff are also nice and approachable. The only downside is that there was a bit of dust which triggered my allergy :(

Great hotel in a central location with parking and breakfast. We even got early check in! We were Very happy. The room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. It also had an additional heater which we were happy about as there was a storm and it snowed when we stayed.

Okay for a cheap stay if you're happy to get what you pay for. It's an old building, so if you're over 5ft 9, it's hard to move without headbutting a lampshade or banging your legs on a cupboard.
