The reception said there was no such room as I had booked at this hotel. ? The bath/ shower only had the hot tap working so the shower became very hot and was unable to cool it. "It is an ideal spot. We went to the races at Newbury. The room was comfortable and clean. The food was excellent. The main issue was staffing, there were simply not enough. Apparently 2 of their bar / restaurant staff called in sick. It was chaos and very slow. Sophie (duty manager) did her best and was excellent, but it was an uphill struggle with the rooms, bar and restaurant all full !! "
