"Location really good and easy. Lots of stairs in property and cellar rooms require you being outside. Breakfast facilities a bit overwhelmed and seating cramped but food options good. For the price I was expecting spectacular and I got good."

"I love this place! I came back here after having an amazing stay over Christmas. The staff are lovely and the rooms are cozy. The village is beautiful, quiet, and very serene. The canal is nearby and is a lovely walk. The view from my room overlooked the village, valley, and Avon River. With the frost on the ground, it turned magical! "

"It is a lovely hotel and we've stayed before. We had booked a four poster room but didn't get the same quality of room we had gotten in our first visit, by that I mean; there was no bathtub, the room was slightly smaller, the noise from outside was significantly louder than expected. We had a lovely stay though and I definitely recommend it."

"The lady on reception was friendly and welcoming, room was as expected and the breakfast aside from the bacon was great. My only gripe is the heating in the room worked when it felt like so it was a little cold when getting out of the shower, first world problem I know. "

"We had a great stay. Our dinner was excellent & we couldn’t fault a thing. Our room was in the annexe and was lovely, clean & a good size. The main house is full of interest art, photos & antiques. Only negative was the damp/fousty smell in the entrance & lounges. This wouldn’t stop us returning which we definitely will do!"
