"Overall this hotel was good and lovely and clean. Was so close to le shuttle and that’s why we booked. We would stay again. However when it was breakfast time due to my allergies (dairy, wheat and egg) I literally could eat a hash brown, tomato, bacon, beans and gf toast. There were no alternative yoghurt to have with fruit. I will stay again but will pack myself something to eat for breakfast as I felt really let down. The others in my party loved the breakfast as there were a lot for them to...

"This hotel has an amazing history and needs to be supported so it can be preserved. Our room was a really good size (triple) and had a separate dressing area. The breakfast was excellent value. The bathroom is due a revamp but was still serviceable. Make sure you check out the piano bar and main stairwells."

"Very convenient for town, beautiful walks along The Leas. Hotel very clean and staff helpful. Room on top floor, corridor very narrow for large luggage and floor in bedroom uneven with a slope so if your elderly or unsure with your footing could cause a fall, but ok once you remember it’s there. But really enjoyed my stay"

"Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Large comfortable bed and plenty of space in standard double room. Lovely toiletries. The walkway from car park at back of hotel to front door in need of smartening up. "

"Charming hotel. Upgraded from a single to double room. I stayed un the older part of the hotel. Unfortunately I can't seem to upload a photo. Very comfortable. Able to open the window for fresh country air all night. Ample parking. Great restaurant and bar. Staff (front of house) and restaurant were welcoming and friendly."
