"We had an amazing overnight stay. Only issue we had during the night was the fact we could not get the air conditioning to work. Apart from that everything was fabulous, breakfast amazing so were the staff."

"Staff at the esplanade were extremely helpful couldn't do too much to help full English breakfasts were wonderfull as with all period properties you can find a niggle but we wouldn't hesitate to stay again in fact we will be booking again "

"Lovely views and gardens fabulously building inside and out. Sorry to say the breakfast was lawful l was not late for breakfast but no hot food everything was empty except cold Tomatoes half cook cold scrambled egg l though they would put more food out but no. No cups No cutlery tryed to make tea no milk. When my family came down they had the same exact the same experience. I don't feel it was the staff's fault as they seam to be under staffed. This is my second visit we loved everything else...

"Lovely hotel. Right by the seafront. Close to everything. Went on the steam train to Dartmouth. Also went to Kents Cavern..via a voucher from the hotel. Both excellent. "

"Excellent location both for the many transport links and the stroll into town. The room was on the second floor so not convenient if mobility issues. .It was compact with low ceilings but comfortable, especially the bed. Poor plumbing. Unusual housekeeping for me as the bed was never made up nor the bath cleaned during my stay. Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing. Chicken supreme dish, the potatoes were nice, the meat was well cooked unfortunately the roasted carrots tasted rancid so...

"Very comfortable and quiet stay. Good breakfast options including gluten and dairy free. Decor a bit tired especially bathroom with some mould. "
