"The hotel was in an excellent location. Bar service and breakfast both good. Hotel car parking is expensive £12 per night. If you happen to have a blue badge then there is free parking right across from main entrance. Only negative have never been in such a small bathroom. Literally hit of wall when trying to turn round. "

"Room was hot, bathroom odd (shower opened onto bedroom! Sink in bedroom) But was cheap and not terrible. Had to hike five minutes to a mediocre pub to get a meal. Closer restaurants were all fast fude (Mickey D’s, Subway, the Colonel). Parking was across a busy street in a shopping center parking lot. "

"Very close to station, buses and Isle of Wight link. Many pubs and restaurants. Room and bed were good. Shower. super. Atmosphere is unique. It reminded me of a hall of residence and retired sailors home. Staff really helpful and kind. It is a charity and therefore feels bigger"hearted than the big hotel chains. Restaurant fine but wine could be better! The VERY BEST UNI QUE feature of this quaint club-hotel is the guest launderette in the basement if u are coming off a ship or traveling around...

"It's a fun quirky place Dee was very helpful. You where still under Reno so did not experience all . Restaurants a little pricey Recommend a 2 price system $ 9 pound for Continental buffet and the $15 if full on English. Also if one is sitting on grounds outside your bar staff should approach clients for top up and refills . Things l would suggest because you are out in the remote . Bicycle rental to get around locally. Create a local map of near by places. The shopping center. Barlycorn pub....

"Lovely old quirky hotel that could do with some tlc ,Lovely staff nice bar Courtney kept us entertained. Room was good bed was comfortable bathroom very good. We had breakfast and was really nice , for the price you pay id definitely use again "

"Perfect location for visiting Portsmouth and the Historic Dockyard, walk out of the train station and the hotel is just across the street. Ideal for a quick sighting trip to the okd town and the docks. Rooms were simple and clean."
