Its a good place to stay to explore the New Forest We had dinner in the restaurant & the food was excellent, the breakfast were also excellent. The staff are polite, & nothing was too much trouble Have already booked to go back in the spring. "

"Great place to stay. Easy access to bus services all around the island. It was very cold whilst we were here and the unit had a great heating system throughout. Beds were comfortable and 3 of us each had a bedroom. We got a deal that was amazing value for money. Fully recommend."

"This was our second visit to this hotel and the first time seemed more pleasant than the second. The property is old and feels a bit unorganized…from the staff serviceability to the miscellaneous bits and pieces of items randomly placed. Maybe thats apart of the charm. "

"This lovely quaint Guest House was ideal for us on New Year's Eve as we were invited to a Masquerade Ball held at The Queens Hotel which was only a 6 minute walk away from the Guest House. We were initially thinking of going by taxi but trying to get a taxi on New Year's Eve is a nightmare and there's no guarantee anyway that they would actually turn up. "When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise.
