"Probably the best value hotel room I’ve stayed in. Yes, the hotel is old, dated and in urgent need of some repair. BUT for £60 for a large room, castle view and walkable distance to all of the tourist attractions, it’s a good deal. Not sure what the deal was with the little homemade sandwiches in the foyer though….? Btw, I’m actually a local resident and was staying here for one night while I was exchanging/completing on my property. Served its purpose well. "

"Always try to stay here if working in the area, good prices and brilliant reception lady. Usually decent amount of parking. Pub next door serving food but you need to check last food order times, if not there’s a garage adjacent with some food available."

"Quaint hotel in the middle of renovations so no food or drinks available. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean but bathrooms small. Towels new and extra large very nice. All considered a good stay and would recommend "
